Steelcase – Principal Researcher, Workspace Futures
Patricia leads the Strategic Foresight practice and is responsible for identifying disruptive forces of change impacting the world of work to drive decision making for Steelcase. For the past 25 years, she has focused on complex adaptive systems and how we might design solutions that can lead to impactful change to improve the human experience. Past research projects include looking at digital transformation, the complexities of distributed collaboration, diversity and its impact on innovation, and the implications of neuroscience for work, workers, and workplace.
Since 2020, Patricia has completed research on Strategic Foresight and ESG Foresight, producing reports which frame scenarios and probable futures. In addition, during the pandemic, she has conducted qualitative research on the restructuring of work by studying employees, Working from Home, the Recalibration of the Workplace, Hybrid Work through the lens of human resource experts and the emerging Hybrid Nomad. Her current area of focus includes a deeper understanding of the evolution of work post-Covid and the impact of ESG on the changing role of organizations in the 21st century economy.
