A grocery retail chain selected LOTH to create a pilot space for a small group of its employees. Steelcase research, design and understanding the way the client wanted to work were deciding factors in partnering with LOTH. They needed a space that would provide a myriad of work environments. Collaboration spaces, huddle rooms and lounge to accommodate different types of work.
The client had 50 people they needed to fit in the space plus they wanted huddle spaces built with architectural walls. Great planning had to take place to make sure we could accommodate all the workers and their need for huddle rooms and various spaces to work.
The space was opened up with the use of Bivi for the stations. They now have a space where communication could be open and have huddle spaces where there’s privacy for phone calls and heads-down work.
LOTH provided a total space solution between workstations, architectural walls, private offices, lounge seating, and post and beam for division. The client agreed to lower panel heights and added quite a bit of glass in the private offices to keep an open feeling. The effort is to enhance collaboration and culture among employees.
The client is thrilled with the space. Top executives have commented on how the space has made a difference in the way people work and their productivity. After completing a Workplace Satisfaction Survey, post-install, we saw proven results of positive results that were above global percentages.
