Building a Collaborative Future
When Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS), a rapidly growing leader in water management solutions, realized their existing workplace could no longer support their expanding team and evolving needs, they set out to create something more than just a bigger office. They needed a strategic, future-ready environment that could unify their workforce, reflect their culture, and drive innovation.
What began as a prospecting effort led by Jason Weimer and his team evolved into a deeply collaborative partnership with LOTH. The result? A state-of-the-art workplace in Hilliard, Ohio designed to support both how ADS works today and how they’ll grow tomorrow.
The Challenge
As ADS scaled rapidly, they encountered familiar growing pains: limited space, teams spread across multiple locations, and a desire to reinforce their brand and culture through the physical workplace.
To solve these challenges, ADS brought together a trusted team that included BHDP, Geis, Lunne, and LOTH. Together, they set out to design and build a modern workplace that would:
- Attract and retain top talent
- Reflect ADS’s brand and culture through intentional design
- Prioritize employee wellbeing and sustainability
- Accommodate a growing number of collaborative workstreams
ADS wasn’t just looking for furniture. They needed an environment that would foster connection, creativity, and pride. With construction underway and a clear vision in place, the right partner would be key to making it a reality.
Why LOTH?
From the start, ADS appreciated LOTH’s consultative approach and in-house design expertise. They weren’t interested in a transactional vendor relationship. They were looking for a long-term partner.
After touring LOTH’s Work Studio and seeing another success story at Cover My Meds, the ADS team was confident they had found the right fit. Weekly visits to the Work Studio led to nearly 500 hours of collaborative design and specification work. The LOTH team became an extension of ADS’s internal team by listening, advising, and co-creating every step of the way.
Designing for Culture, Function & the Future
LOTH delivered a comprehensive workplace solution tailored to ADS’s needs:
- Workstations and Private Offices
• Huddle and Conference Rooms
• Open Lounge Areas
• Café and Outdoor Spaces
Every detail was considered with employee wellbeing and functionality in mind. Workstations were positioned along the perimeter to maximize natural light. Sit-to-stand desks, Steelcase seating, monitor arms, mobile whiteboards, and cutting-edge AV tools were included to boost productivity and comfort.
A first-floor café with premium coffee, micro markets, outdoor gathering areas, and private phone rooms helped create a holistic experience. ADS even formed a “Move In Committee” to ensure associates felt welcomed and supported as they transitioned into the new space.
The Outcome
The result is a high performance, future ready workplace that unifies teams, reflects the ADS brand, and supports continued growth. Through a deeply collaborative process, ADS and LOTH built more than a new workplace. They built a foundation for what’s next.
