experience

While working towards her BFA from the Columbus College of Art & Design, (focus in Interior Design and a minor in Art History) Brittany entered the world of commercial design with an internship at a local furniture dealer. Having shown leadership skills and a passion for teaching, Brittany was given the responsibility of training all incoming interns while she was still an intern herself. After graduating and accepting a position as a Junior Interior Designer, this responsibility quickly transitioned to training all new Interior Designers, as well as, Interns. It was then, Brittany knew she wanted to pursue a career path of training, developing, and fostering young designers.

In her mid-twenties, Brittany accepted a Senior Designer position with LOTH.  She was excited to work with the industry leader, Steelcase. After just 8 months, she was promoted to Director of Design with a team of 5 designers. Brittany and the LOTH design team have thrived with new technology, fresh processes and design thinking principles growing to a team of 10 designers. In 2018, Brittany earned her next important promotion to Director of Design and Coordination, overseeing the entire design to order entry process for LOTH. She continues to focus on attracting the best talent to develop and empower.

After 13 short years in the commercial furniture and design industry, Brittany’s teams and responsibilities have grown, but her goals as a leader remain; to support designers and create the next wave of enthusiastic leaders.
