Challenge
Cintas set out to refresh a long-standing headquarters space that had not been updated in several years, starting with a full renovation of the café and lobby as phase one of a larger transformation. The space needed to serve a dual purpose, supporting daily employee use while also functioning as a meeting destination for partners, requiring a thoughtful balance of hospitality, functionality, and brand presence. With over 1,300 employees and frequent partner engagement, Cintas turned to LOTH as a trusted partner to deliver a solution that aligned with budget, timeline, and long-term goals.
Vision
They envisioned a revitalized café and lobby that would serve as a dynamic, dual-purpose environment supporting both dining and professional collaboration. The goal was to integrate flexible meeting areas, modern technology, and comfortable lounge seating to create a space that partners could easily use for informal meetings and everyday gatherings. As the first significant refresh in several years, the vision also prioritized a design that felt fresh, welcoming, and reflective of a modern workplace experience.
Collaboration
LOTH partnered closely with Nelson, Turner Construction, and Cushman & Wakefield to align design intent, budget, and execution from the outset. Working directly with Nelson, the project’s A&D firm, LOTH provided furniture solutions that supported the overall vision while offering multiple options and identifying cost-effective alternatives through live design discussions. The team also coordinated samples, sit tests, and showroom tours, helping the client make confident, informed decisions while keeping the project on schedule and within budget.
Result
The renovated café and lobby have been very well received by Cintas partners, who are excited about the refreshed, modern space. They appreciated the updated look and the company’s investment in creating an environment designed for their needs. The improved space not only enhances the overall workplace experience but also supports Cintas’ ongoing commitment to attracting and retaining top talent.
