Indian Hill Middle School

Challenge

Indian Hill Middle School needed to create innovative educational spaces aligned with their IH Promise strategic plan. Key challenges included identifying the right furniture solutions to foster collaboration among students and educators, and designing flexible, branded, and environmentally conscious spaces that support a range of teaching and learning styles.

Vision

To begin, the goal was to create dynamic, student-centered learning environments that reflect the IH Promise strategic plan. In doing so, the team shaped spaces that are collaborative, flexible, and environmentally conscious—while also serving as a branding tool and supporting diverse learning.

Collaboration

From the start, LOTH, Skanska, MSA Design, and Indian Hill Schools partnered on the project and facilitated pilot classrooms that actively engaged educators and students. As a result, the team ensured the final design reflected the needs and feedback of the entire school community.

Result

The team delivered bright, mobile, and flexible learning environments that supports both lecture and discussion-based teaching. The final design of the Indian Hill Middle School also reinforced Indian Hill’s brand and commitment to sustainability.
