Ohio University sought to enhance its learning environments with flexible, tech-enabled furniture solutions that support active learning and collaboration across a variety of academic spaces.

Create dynamic, experiential classrooms and workspaces that promote student engagement, content sharing, and adaptable group interaction through modern furniture and integrated technology.
Collaboration
Building on a 5+ year relationship, LOTH partnered with The Design Group and Perkins & Will to deliver a comprehensive solution featuring Steelcase’s Akira Flip Nest with Power. This supported active learning with integrated AV and content-sharing capabilities.
Result
The project delivered a range of future-ready spaces including 8 panel workstations, 3 benching stations, 10 seminar rooms, 2 conference rooms, 12 huddle areas, a student center, open collaboration zones, and fully equipped experiential classrooms.
