PNC Tower

Challenge

Initially, the common areas within the PNC Tower no longer met the expectations of modern tenants and visitors. Group RMC Corp wanted to refresh these shared spaces to elevate the overall tenant experience. In addition, the spaces needed to support a wide range of activities—from casual meetings to working, dining, and entertaining—within a single, cohesive environment.

Vision

From the outset, the goal was to create a “wow factor.” The team envisioned amenity-rich common spaces that felt welcoming, flexible, and engaging. Rather than designing single-purpose areas, the vision focused on a blended-use approach. As a result, the spaces would seamlessly support collaboration, social interaction, and large-group gatherings while enhancing the building’s overall appeal.

Collaboration

To bring this vision to life, LOTH worked closely with the property management team and BHDP. Together, the teams aligned on design intent while carefully balancing budget considerations. Throughout the process, LOTH curated furniture and solutions that supported flexibility and durability, ensuring each space could adapt to different uses without sacrificing aesthetic impact.

Result

Ultimately, the updated common spaces transformed the tenant experience at the PNC Center. Completed in February 2022, the project delivered a vibrant common café, multiple informal meeting areas, a large conference room for groups of 60+, and a dedicated gaming area. As a result, tenants now enjoy dynamic, multifunctional spaces that encourage connection, engagement, and a stronger sense of community within the building.

Inside the PNC Tower

Our goal with this project was to update the common spaces to drive a better tenant experience for those within the PNC Tower. The client, Group RMC Corp, was looking to enhance these spaces to draw in a “wow factor” for both visitors and tenants. Additionally, one of the discussion points during the project process was the varied activities that took place within these spaces. This was a focus of the LOTH design team. They wanted to develop a blended-use solution for eating, working, and entertaining within the spaces.

Working alongside the property management team and BHDP, we collaborated around the design intent. Meanwhile, we made selections that aligned with the budget the client set for the project.
